I still have a lot of things to catch up on- it seems like a lot has happened in the past week. I didn't take any pictures of my sister- didn't feel right about it. After she has reconstructive surgery I'm sure she'll be ready to pose for some pictures! It was definitely hard to leave- not sure if we'll be able to afford another trip in April. I know that my family would love to see Lila- it's hard being so far away!
But it was so nice to come home. Lila hasn't wanted to let me out of her sight since I've been back! It's hard to cook dinner while I'm holding her. : )
Lila and me on the merry-go-round at the mall today!
Mom! You're finally home!
Random thoughts and happenings:
While I was in Texas I got to hear David Crowder play. I attended the church where he's on staff and he happened to be there. I was so excited.
Our family doctor's office called yesterday to let me know that they had (finally) read the results of my mammogram (I had it 1/26/09). They called to say that the radiologist saw some changes from my last mammogram and wants me to have an MRI done. I'm sorry................
WHAT???????????????????????????? Seriously?
Oh............... you apologize for not calling me sooner? Well, that makes everything better. An apology. Isn't this what happened with my ovarian cysts as well? No follow-up? Forgot to call? Yes, I seem to remember something like that.
In the words of Donald Trump, you're fired.
So I'll be having an MRI next week. I'm sure it's nothing but it's still a bit upsetting.
But on to bigger and brighter things. I delivered Meals on Wheels on Wednesday and that was great. My first delivery, a lady named Elizabeth, has no legs and the most sunny disposition. My second delivery was to an elderly couple-Harry & Anna- Harry has the most kind blue eyes. His wife is very ill and he cares for her all day long. My third delivery was to Robert & Lois- they live in a beautiful house with lots of trees- Robert wanted to make me a cup of tea but I had to be on my way. My final delivery came with a lot of instructions. Julien & Harriet. Harriet has dementia. Julien is deaf. You can knock on the door but they won't hear you. (I'm sorry?) Knock loudly on the door then go in quickly. They have a cat that likes to run. DO NOT let the cat out. When you get in the door, close it quickly and yell out that you DIDN"T let the cat out so they won't worry. (I thought they couldn't hear?) Very amusing and sad at the same time. I can't wait to get to know these people better! : )
I still have more to post but sleep is calling me. Goodnight all!

You look so beautiful. Of course your daughters are, too. They take after you!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely time to find a new dr. Completely unbelievable that the same thing could happen again. I certainly hope you report them. So sorry this happened again but always good to know God is in control and the ultimate time keeper. The fun thing is I can just hear your sarcasm and tone of voice and exactly how you are saying this as you wrote it!!!!! and I see your darn key got stuck again. Been awhile.
Yay, for Starbucks, Tiff!!
I love you guys!
MEALS ON WHEELS. Ugh. I totally forgot you were doing that on Wednesday.I'm sorry Lady!
ReplyDeleteYou're pretty amazing, you know that?
I can't wait to hear more about this... maybe I can even come with you when I'm off for spring break!
♥
p.s. don't forget to post the 'linda watching AI whilst on the book that is FACE' picture :)
ReplyDeleteFor the record- I was not sarcastic with the nurse on the phone. I did tell her that it was a bit upsetting that it took so long for them to call but that's all I said. It's not her fault- it's the doctor's for not reading it sooner. : (
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm sure you weren't with the nurse cuz that's not how you deal with stuff but you sure were when you were posting. I could hear it!!!!
ReplyDeleteMa,
ReplyDeletethe who meals on wheels thing...sounds awesome! I can't wait until you get to know them better either!
