Weekend Snapshots

This snowy fall weekend went by way too quickly for me.  And while I should be finishing the adoption post and/or  proof-reading the post I wrote about the new Down Syndrome test, I'm just not feeling it.  Truth is, I'm feeling a bit anxious about our upcoming move to Colorado Springs at the end of the year.  So tonight I needed a happy, no-brainer post.   Here's  a little peek into our weekend.

In the middle of the "historic snowstorm", we headed out to Bethany's Halloween/Nika's Birthday party.

Mama the sailor and her little pirate

The next day the snow was gone and it was time to carve pumpkins!

Lila wasn't too sure about this part.

Really, Sissy?   You want me to touch that?

Reluctantly digging out some seeds

I guess that was taking too long- she's all in!

Mama can't pass that up.

We ended the weekend with some Daddy/Daughter Time.

I am very excited about Halloween tomorrow.  For the third year in a row, we will be spending the evening with our dear friends Brian, Michelle and their kids.   We are so thankful for friends that feel like family.

As we begin to celebrate a whole lotta  firsts  for our Lexi girl,
we'll start out with her first Halloween.

Happy Halloween!

  2. Love the carving photos and of course the little pirate was so cute! I hope one day that Maya will have the focus to do things like this one day.
