Operation Homefront Dress Extravaganza

On Tuesday morning we went to a "Dress Extravaganza" sponsored by Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a non-profit community supporting our troops by caring for their families. Here is their mission statement:

Operation Homefront provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind and to wounded warriors when they return home. A nonprofit 501(c)(3), Operation Homefront leads more than 4,500 volunteers in 30 chapters nationwide and has provided critical assistance to more than 45,000 military families in need. Operation Homefront also operates an online magazine for military wives and women in uniform. Through this community, we reach the newest and youngest military families, instantly alerting them about our programs and other information to help them succeed in military life.

I wish that I could have taken a picture of all the dresses. There were racks and racks of hundreds of dresses in all sizes. It was very organized and they had lots of people helping out. One lady carried my dresses because Lila wanted me to carry her. : )

Did I mention that the dresses were $5, $10 and $15? What a deal! They were all new and had been donated. We had fun shopping with our friends Kelly, Pam, Annette and Sandy.

I'm no photographer but I wanted to post pictures of the dresses that I got for Lila. I paid $5 for all of them but one- I splurged on Lila's Easter dress and spent $10!

Okay so I guess I like pink, green and black!

Lila's Easter dress is in the middle.

You gotta love a good deal for a great cause!
